Our customer in the Queens Park area of Glasgow felt that his existing bathroom (see before picture) did not flow and in some areas had started to break down both in look and function. A wet showering area was a pre-requisite along with a centre piece sink vanity unit. This bathroom was created in a main door sandstone apartment, a traditional property where the bathrooms are typically long and narrow, with high ceilings. Our aim was to make use of the length of the room whilst giving the customer the functionality he was after. A chrome towel warmer was placed at the end of a raised wet room floor area and the whole area was completely waterproofed with a waterproof tanking kit – even right in to the window area, before the tiles were affixed. Feature vertical contrasting tiling was used within the showering area and a wall hung double wave effect sink vanity was used to create much needed storage and a centre piece within the room.
